Yesterday I asked my daugter, What would it take to make today Epic? She didn't answer. But today I got the answer! This morning I deliberated whether or not I should do my devotions in my arm chair or in bed. The adult response would have been 'make your bed and do your devotions in your armchair with your cup of coffee, showered and dressed and ready for the day.' But what I really wanted was to completely relax while I was reading and so I chose to climb back into my bed and it was an epic choice! Then this evening I decided to try tuna steak in my tacos instead of chicken as an additional healthy option. This was a little risky because it could have been totally gross, but it ended up also being another epic choice for dinner tonight and will become part of our regular delightful menu. So having an epic day isn't necessarily about how exciting your day is planned but in the small choices finding what lights you up, what brings you Joy, and what makes you want to do it again!

Take a new world view. Look back. What do you see?
In the last nine months I have shed unhealthy attachments, especially to people who expected more of me than I could give. I have prioritized family as the most important thing to focus on keeping healthy through this pandemic. Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. I have looked at my life with a critical eye with the extra time and asked, "Why do I do this?" I have been careful to make my small piece of the world a steady and positive place in the midst of uncertainty. And with Gods help we have had a lot of joy and peace! Our hearts have grown closer. What if everyone made their own little corner a great place to be instead of judging and criticizing everyone else? Soon we will have transformed the planet! I don't know what I want to do with my life! I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing with my life! I am so confused! There must be a better way to live than this!
